A hydrothermal synthesis reactor is a device specifically designed for conducting chemical reactions under high-temperature, high-pressure aqueous conditions. It utilizes strong acids, strong bases, or pure water in a sealed environment to promote the dissolution or transformation of substances that are insoluble or sparingly soluble at room temperature and pressure, thus achieving efficient digestion of samples.
In addition to its digestion capabilities, hydrothermal reactors are widely used in the field of crystal growth. By precisely controlling the temperature gradient and supersaturation conditions of the solution, they can induce the formation of ordered nanostructures or single crystals from inorganic or organic compounds.
