Industrial methanol production primarily employs the catalytic hydrogenation of carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide under pressure. Depending on the feedstock, high-pressure, medium-pressure, or low-pressure processes are utilized. However, after synthesizing crude methanol, methanol purification becomes an unavoidable challenge.
