Refining and Solvent Recovery Solution for N-(Trimethylsilyl) Morpholine Italia

N-(Trimethylsilyl) Morpholine is a colorless to pale yellow liquid that is soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, acetone, and toluene. After hydrolysis, it can dissolve in water with a pH of 4 under stirring conditions. As an important pharmaceutical intermediate and organic reagent, N-(Trimethylsilyl) Morpholine is widely used in fields such as biopharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, materials chemistry, and petrochemicals.

Currently, there are two main methods for its preparation. One method involves the reaction of morpholine with trimethylchlorosilane to produce N-(Trimethylsilyl) Morpholine, while the other method reacts morpholine with trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanesulfonate to yield the final product. However, after the preparation process, effectively separating N-(Trimethylsilyl) Morpholine from the solvents becomes a critical challenge.

Based on the material composition of the post-reaction solution from a customer in Anhui, the YHCHEM technology team proposed a solution involving the distillation and purification of the upper clear liquid, and solvent recovery from the lower liquid by adding alkali followed by distillation. Both processes can be integrated and run compatibly on the same distillation column. The purified upper clear liquid, which contains 95% of the silicon morpholine material, can achieve a purity of 99% after distillation. The solvent in the lower layer can be recovered by distillation with a recovery rate of up to 90%.
